San Diego Civic Dance Company invites you to an exciting performance in the beautiful and historic Casa delPrado Theatre in Balboa Park. Collage 2010 features an impressive array of dance disciplines, breathtaking costumes, imaginative set pieces and gorgeous theatrical lighting. Post-performance, students will receive a behind-the-scenes look at the Company’s creative process; how dance numbers were created, stage lighting and music, as well as a Q & A with select dancers and creative team members.

Date/Time: 9:30 am and 11:30 am, One hour program, including
a ten-minute question & answer session
Audience: Grades K through 12
Tickets: $5.00 per student
One complimentary teacher/chaperone ticket per five
student tickets paid.

Our student education program is designed to meet State of California Department of Education Content Standards. To help connect the performance to your classroom activities, we provide specially-designed "SDCDArtsNotes"; a study guide containing background on the performance pieces and artists, as well as the music the pieces are based on; classroom activities that engage students in reading, writing, listening, analyzing, and creating; resources for further study, and information for students about their roles and responsibilities as members of the audience.
